Bali trending up to top 3 Christmas destinations for Indians – Skyscanner Report

SINGAPORE - Media OutReach[1] - 5 September 2018 Christmas vacations among Indians is on the rise YOY, especially to short haul destinations and during long weekends. Skyscanner[2], world's leading travel metasearch company, analysed user search data from January to July 2018 for both international and domestic destinations and found that Bali rose among the ranks to the 3rd spot, after Dubai and Bangkok, as a top destination for Christmas vacation. Bali saw an increase of nearly 71% searches this year as compared to last year. On the other hand, Singapore and Sydney fell, ranking below the top 6 destinations.

 

Skyscanner India Senior Growth Manager Reshmi Roy said: "With Indians traveling more each year, there is an increased demand for direct and connecting flights to popular destinations. With talks of starting a new route from Silangit to Mumbai, and with Mumbai to Bali flights happening thrice a week, Bali is an enticing option for Indian travelers right now."
