Perpanjangan masa cuti melahirkan bagi ibu (maternal leave) menjadi 6 bulan dalam pembahasan draft Rancangan Undang-Undang Kesejahteraan Ibu dan Anak (RUU KIA) masih menjadi polemik. Dalam UU Ketenagakerjaan, durasi cuti melahirkan ditetapkan hanya sepanjang 3 bulan.
