Saasyan Launches Assure V6.1 with New Tools to Strengthen Online Student Safety

  • Written by PR Newswire Asia - Asian Spectator

Major release introduces web filter bypass detection, a Multilingual NLP AI Engine, expanded device visibility and a modernised architecture.

SYDNEY, Aug. 25, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Saasyan has launched Assure V6.1, a major update to its online student safety solution that helps schools identify risks, improve visibility and respond when students may be at risk.

The release introduces a Multilingual NLP AI Engine that detects concerning language across ten languages, including English, Mandarin, Korean, Arabic, Cantonese, Japanese, Spanish, French, German and Vietnamese, helping Assure identify risk regardless of the language a student is using.

Assure V6.1 also adds web filter bypass alerts, helping schools spot when students are circumventing web filtering controls. As bypass methods keep evolving, this gives ICT and wellbeing teams greater visibility into activity that might otherwise go undetected.

New Live View Desktop capabilities for Windows and macOS let teachers see student screens in real time, while Application Identification shows which applications are running on student devices, extending visibility beyond browser activity.

The release also delivers a cleaner Alert History, an improved Action Log and enhancements to the Parent Portal, including the ability for parents to temporarily pause internet access on a student device.

A modernised platform architecture underpins these capabilities and will support future Assure features.

Greg Margossian, Founder and Managing Director of Saasyan, said the release reflects lessons learned over ten years working in the K-12 space. "We have implemented a lot of what we have learned to deliver features that count, maximize the signal and minimize the noise, while paving the way for great features to come."

Student privacy remains central to Saasyan's approach. Its K-12 AI technology is developed and hosted in house, so student information is never sent to third party generative AI services or used to train public AI models.

Assure V6.1 builds on 21 updates delivered since V5, bringing together improvements across student safety, classroom visibility, filtering and performance. More information can be found here: https://www.saasyan.com/insights/assure-v6.1-is-here
